Holiday Party Rentals in Salt Lake City: Thanksgiving, Office Parties and Christmas

November and December bring the biggest gatherings of the year, and most homes and offices are not set up to seat everyone at once. Here is what to rent for the most common holiday events around Salt Lake City, and how to plan it.

Thanksgiving dinner at home

The usual problem: one dining table and twenty relatives. A couple of 6 ft tables (from $13 each) lined up end to end in a living room or garage create one long family table. Add white folding chairs (from $1.80) or, for a nicer look, cafe chairs (from $3.90).

Office and company holiday parties

For a seated dinner, 60-inch rounds (from $14) seat 8 and keep conversation flowing. For a mingling party, add 36-inch cocktail tables (from $18). We have delivered tables and chairs for a company Christmas party in Cottonwood, and we deliver to offices, shops and warehouses as well as homes.

Church, ward and community Christmas parties

Large group dinners usually work best with 8 ft tables (from $22, seats 8 to 10) in long rows, which fit more people in a gym or cultural hall. For 100 guests, plan about 13 eight-foot tables plus serving tables. Basic setup from $150 covers up to 100 chairs and 12 tables if you would rather not set up yourself.

• Book early. December weekends are a popular time for parties, so reserve as soon as your date is set.
• Plan for weather. Utah winters mean indoor events, so measure your space before choosing table sizes.
• Think about access. Let us know about stairs, narrow doors or parking when you book.
• Add serving tables. Buffets, desserts and drinks each need a table.
